I agree, I even posted about Natalie Portman for Chanel back in 2008 and have always thought she would be a great spokesperson for the brand.

Though I don’t think Alice Dellal is a traditional beauty, I like that Karl chose someone who isn’t “pretty” in the traditional sense and is jolie ladie (ugly pretty – think Mick Jagger or Angelica Houston). I also think they are trying to show that Chanel can be edgy as well. I get what they are saying but yes, ultimately I wish they would just hire Natalie Portman. I know Natalie Portman distanced herself from Dior when the whole Galliano scandal broke so I’m not sure what the status is of that relationship. We shall see…

All this punk stuff she’s wearing just make me sick.

(Natalie Portman would be the best Chanel’s face ever, but she’s Dior’ muse right now. )
