Chanel Boutique Visit – Bellagio Las Vegas

chanel bellagio las vegas

Las Vegas de Chanel exclusive accessories Chanel Bellagio Las Vegas

Last week I was in Las Vegas to attend some fashion trades hows and I happened to be staying at the Bellagio – the location of the newly remodeled Chanel boutique and home to the Las Vegas de Chanel collection. One of the Chanel ladies, Giselle Manansala, invited me to visit her at the boutique on my trip.  I wanted to see the remodeled boutique and the Las Vegas collection so we set up a time to meet.  I’m so glad that I met with Giselle because she was a wonderful host and gave me a true Chanel experience.

My first matter of business was checking out the Las Vegas de Chanel cosmetics.  Luckily, there was still stock left  but I didn’t know which items from the collection I should get. Giselle sat me down and gave me a mini-makeover using items from the collection and I loved the finished look.  I ended up getting the Lucky Stripes palette and Gold Fingers from the Las Vegas collection.  I also purchased a brown liquid liner to complete the look and an eyeliner in Clair to combat tired-looking eyes per Peter Philips makeup secrets.

Next, Giselle gave me a tour of the boutique – the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio is one of the finer boutiques because it carries fine jewelry and bags made from exotic skins.  Of course as I walked through the boutique I wanted everything that I saw, one thing was more beautiful than the next.  Giselle showed me the VIP sitting room which was lovely and had the most gorgeous couch I had ever seen – definitely too pretty to sit on! Afterward she showed me the fitting rooms which were larger than my NYC apartment in my student days.  The rooms were spacious and included a sitting room for people who may be shopping with you.  My favorite feature of the fitting rooms was the independent thermostat that you could set to your comfort and an iPod/iPhone docking station.  Chanel thinks of everything when it comes to a customer’s comfort – after all, what is more luxurious than that?

I visited the boutique with my tiny dancer and my husband.  As it was late in the evening, the tiny dancer was a bit tired but Giselle was wonderful with her.  Though the Tiny Dancer is not even two she’s a girly girl and loves watching me put on makeup -in fact I have to give her unused makeup tools to play with to keep her busy.  When Giselle saw that the Tiny Dancer was getting bored, she put together a little goodie bag of samples for her to play with.  The Tiny Dancer was so excited and the rest of our time there went very smoothly.  Not only was Giselle wonderful, all of the staff was friendly including security.  Everyone was very warm and welcoming.

I had a lovely experience at the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.  If you are visiting Las Vegas you definitely need to see this boutique.  Ask for Giselle and let her know Gabriella, La Chanelphile, sent you!

P.S. If you are looking for the Las Vegas de Chanel collection it has shipped to other Chanel boutiques and is available now online in the U.S.

High Rolling! CHANEL Exclusive Edition for Las Vegas Handbags

CHANEL exclusive Edition for Las Vegas

Last week I posted about the exclusive “Las Vegas de Chanel” cosmetics collection launching to commemorate the redesign of the Chanel boutique at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.  In addition to beauty products, Chanel is releasing the Exclusive Edition for Las Vegas Handbags – a collection of 5 (Chanel’s lucky number – this is Las Vegas after all!) handbags.  All five of the bags have an element of sparkle since you can never overdo anything in Las Vegas.  My favorite of the five is the gold bag – the dice charms are too cute!  That bag was made for high rolling!

I’m not sure if the bags will be rolling out to other locations or if they are exclusive to the Bellagio or to all the Las Vegas shops.  A little birdie did tell me that the Las Vegas de Chanel cosmetics will be available at the Bellagio exclusively for one month and then trickle out to other locations.  Good news for all the readers who were asking about availability!  If you are at the Bellagio, be sure to ask for Giselle and she’ll make you look beautiful!

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique in Seoul, Korea

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique in Seoul KoreaChanel’s latest ephemeral boutique is housed at Boon, a concept shop in Korea.  Now through November 20, each floor of the shop will explore one of Chanel’s signature codes.  From Place Vendôme to Chanel’s apartment some of the floor are inspired by places close to Coco Chanel.  The quilted and chain room highlights accessories and craftsmanship while another room is made entirely of porcelain.  After you’ve checked out each floor you can visit the screening room to sit down and watch Karl Lagerfeld’s recent Chanel films.

This ephemeral shop sounds so beautiful I wish I could see it.  Are any of you from Seoul or will be in Seoul?  Please let me know if you check it out – would love to hear about it!

Chanel Brisbane Limited Edition Bag Up Close

Chanel Brisbane Limited Edition BagLast week we mentioned that Chanel released a limited edition bag to commemorate the opening of its Brisbane store.  The Brisbane bag is made from “Pacific Ocean blue calfskin, taking inspiration from the city’s proximity to the ocean” and has a camellia on it.  It’s so lovely!  Have any of you ladies purchased the bag or visited the new boutique? If so, send in your pics!

Retna Paints Chanel Robertson Boutique

retna paints chanel beverly hills

True to the spirit of Coco Chanel and her patronage of the arts, Chanel has commissioned Retna, an LA-based artist to paint the interior of the Los Angeles Chanel boutique on Robertson.   I’ve followed Retna‘s work since his AWR/7th Letter Crew days and it’s amazing to see how he’s come up from the streets of LA to working with one of the storied houses of haute couture.

Retna’s signature handstyle is distinctive and beautiful – evocative of many different scripts including of Old English gang graffiti, Asian calligraphy, Incan & Egyptian hieroglyphics, Hebrew and Arabic. I love the black on black writing with white Chanel iconography “tagged” over his own work.

Retna’s years of hard work are paying off.  Earlier this year I attended Retna’s first solo NY exhibition “The Hallelujah World Tour” (opening during New York Fashion Week) and he’ll be appearing in Vanity Fair later this year and photographed by David Lachapelle.

Chanel Pop-Up Shop at Harrods

harrods chanel pop up shopI wish that I could close my eyes and click my heels and be any place in the world because at any given time, there is some very cool Chanel happening in major metropolitan cities around the world. The latest? A pop-up shop at Harrods in London. I’m not in London so I can’t give you first-hand info but I have scoured the web and found some great coverage. Blogger extraordinaire Alex of Alex Loves had some great photos of the shop and the specialty products – many thanks to her for her great post. All photos below are from Alex Loves and you can see more great images and read more on Beauty and the Dirt and Style Bubble.

Unfortunately, the pop-up shop is now closed (I’ve been meaning to write this post for about 2 weeks now but a little something called New York Fashion Week got in the way) but it’s too good not to share.  If you were in London for Fashion Week (or just happen to live there or close enough to visit) I hope you were able to see this yourself.  I’d love to hear about your experience there!
