Last August I mentioned that Coco Chanel’s vacation home, La Pausa, was for sale. Well, it’s been scooped up off the market for an undisclosed amount but the property was listed for about €40 million. Riviera Times

There has been some controversy about the crystal cuffs shown at the Chanel Fall 2012 show – some say that Chanel ripped off Pamela Love. I don’t think they did anything intentional but Chanel has refused to produce the cuffs. Whatever. I don’t think the Pamela Love cuffs are all that original – they’re fancy versions of flea market crystal jewelry (just my 2 cents). Fashionista

Word on the street is that Chanel has received approval to design a new store on Bond Street in London that will also be the new U.K. headquarters for the brand. You can bet there will be some cool exclusive product and parties when this boutique opens up. Vogue UK

Chanel Premiere Tourbillon

Earlier this year we posted an image of the Chanel Premiere Toubillon and now we have a Chanel video of this gorgeous time piece. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Première watch, Chanel offers women the opportunity to enter into the world of high mechanical complications with the Première Flying Tourbillon. The watch is currently being presented at the International Watch Fair at Basel from March 8th to 15th , 2012.

Chanel Joaillerie Spring 2012 – 80th Anniversary Collection

Last month I posted about Chanel Joaillerie’s Spring 2012 collection which pays homage to the 80th Anniversary of Coco Chanel’s 1932 Bijoux de Diamants collection. I happened to find more images online and each of these pieces is breathtakingly beautiful. I have never before seen such exquisite jewels. Each piece in the collection is one of a kind and is set to tour the world in a traveling exhibition. I hope the exhibition comes to a city in the U.S – I would love to see these pieces up close and personal.

Chanel Joaillerie Spring 2012 Open Necklace with Shooting Star Brooch

Chanel presented its Chanel Joaillerie Spring 2012 collection – the haute couture of fine jewelry. What set this presentation apart was that it celebrates the 80th anniversary of Coco Chanel’s 1932 Bijoux de Diamants collection. In homage to Coco Chanel’s original 1932 collections, Chanel displayed nine celestial-inspired pieces – a preview of what we can expect to see at the July presentation that will honor the 80th anniversary. Coco Chanel was intrigued by astrology so taking inspiration from the cosmos was a natural progression for her. These pieces are literally “out of this world.”

In related news, Chanel Fine Jewelry was awarded the GEM Awards Corporate Communications Award as 2012 is the 80th Anniversary for Chanel Joaillerie, which Coco Chanel founded in 1932.

Chanel Camélia Brodé – Le Film

I love Chanel Fine Jewelry – especially the pieces inspired by Coco Chanel’s favorite flower, the camellia. Chanel has dreamt up a sparkling, ethereal floral design that is a delicate embroidery of diamonds with gold that dresses the skin in a precious lace. Contrastes de Chanel Joaillerie Collection

Chanel Fine Jewelry has released a new collection – Contrastes de Chanel – featuring an array of gemstones of different shapes and sizes. The Soleil d’Automne ring pictured above is one example of the stunning pieces in the new collection. Chanel reps stated:
