This is not the first Chanel towel set, and certainly not the last. So long as there are cruise collections, jet setters will need equally chic towels with matching totes. This is one towel that I would definitely NOT leave pool-side or on the beach though. I would much rather prefer to see it hanging in my bathroom. How luxurious would it be to dry off with a Chanel towel after your shower…after washing with Chanel No.5 bath gel of course!

Rare Chanel on The Coveteur
The Covetuer is every fashion lover’s inside look into the closets we all wish we had. As a year in review, they’ve gathered all the photos of rare Chanel items that they’ve come across and published them in one place. I selected a few of my favorites but you should definitely check out The Coveteur for the full experience.
My New Favorite Website: Sip, Chat, Chow
We’ve seen the Chanel cupcakes, cookies, french fries and lollipops but Tricia Clarke-Stone, the “glam foodie” of Sip, Chat, Chow is taking things to a whole new level. She brings couture to some of our favorite sweet treats. She tends to like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Fendi in addition to Chanel, but as you know, my only concern is Chanel – check out these pics of couture cuisine!

Lady Gaga Wears Chanel for Barney’s “Gaga’s Workshop”

Now through January 2, you can see “Gaga’s Workshop” – Barney’s New York has put its 5th floor and holiday windows in the hands of Lady Gaga. She stated: ““We tried to bridge the spirit of Madison Avenue with the spirit of downtown New York pop punk culture and create a space that had a range of prices — some very affordable gifts and some gifts that were more expensive.” On Monday night Lady Gaga wore a custom white Chanel gown designed by Karl Lagerfeld for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The white tweed dress with black trim is accessorized with CHANEL pearls, camelias and bows. I LOVE this look – especially all of the camellias and pearls. Check out the pics below and Karl Lagerfeld’s sketch pictured above.

Paris-Bombay: Chanel’s Upcoming Métiers d’Art Collection Inspired by India

Chanel’s will reveal its upcoming Métiers d’Art collection on December 6, and word on the street is that the collection is inspired by India. The Paris-Bombay collection will be shown at the Galerie Courbe in the Grand Palais. I can’t wait to see this collection. The Métiers d’Art collections are always my favorite of the year because you see such lovely work from all of the maisons that Chanel purchased to keep the art of the crafts alive as part of Paraffection. The Métiers d’Art collections usually do a lovely job marrying influences. I’d be interested to see how the colors play out in this collection. Chanel is known for a very subdued palette and India is known for quite the opposite. Either way, I’m sure the collection will be heavily embellished and I’m especially interested in seeing the jewelry. Stay tuned!

Last night, CHANEL sponsored the Museum of Modern Art’s Film Benefit, paying tribute to acclaimed filmmaker Pedro Almodovar. All the lovely ladies came out in support – all wearing Chanel of course. I think that the entrance carpet with wall of red roses is the loveliest “red” carpet I’ve ever seen. Here are some of the looks from celebrities entering the event…

Carine Roitfeld Chanel Couture Fitting
W Magazine released a video featuring Carine Roitfeld as a couture client. In the video she attends a Chanel couture fitting and teasingly tells Karl Lagerfeld that his models are “fat” because she can fit into the samples. It’s a fun video to watch and definitely worth the break from work to watch…

Chanel Ephemeral Boutique in Seoul, Korea
Chanel’s latest ephemeral boutique is housed at Boon, a concept shop in Korea. Now through November 20, each floor of the shop will explore one of Chanel’s signature codes. From Place Vendôme to Chanel’s apartment some of the floor are inspired by places close to Coco Chanel. The quilted and chain room highlights accessories and craftsmanship while another room is made entirely of porcelain. After you’ve checked out each floor you can visit the screening room to sit down and watch Karl Lagerfeld’s recent Chanel films.
This ephemeral shop sounds so beautiful I wish I could see it. Are any of you from Seoul or will be in Seoul? Please let me know if you check it out – would love to hear about it!

Diane Kruger Calls Uncle Karl Her Mentor
Diane Kruger has had a longstanding relationship with Karl Lagerfeld and the House of Chanel. In a recent interview, she discussed how the relationship began and how she feels about Uncle Karl…
He’s like my stepfather; I love Karl. He’s the funniest person I know. He’s a big inspiration actually…I’m not a very good impersonator, my friends maybe, but not famous people. I can do Karl very well, Karl Lagerfeld, because he speaks the same in every language….I had modeled for Chanel quite a bit when I was younger, and I’ve known Karl since I was 16. When I started to act, they’d lend me clothes, and Karl designed a haute-couture gown for me that I wore to the premiere of ‘Troy’ in Cannes. I still have the sketch. I look at him as a mentor.
Chanel Brisbane Limited Edition Bag Up Close
Last week we mentioned that Chanel released a limited edition bag to commemorate the opening of its Brisbane store. The Brisbane bag is made from “Pacific Ocean blue calfskin, taking inspiration from the city’s proximity to the ocean” and has a camellia on it. It’s so lovely! Have any of you ladies purchased the bag or visited the new boutique? If so, send in your pics!
